As President and CEO of HealthTrust Purchasing Group, Jim is responsible for managing the health care industry's third largest group purchasing organization. HPG has over 800 for profit and not for profit members with annual purchasing volume exceeding $5 billion.

Jim received a Bachelors degree from David Lipscomb University in Nashville and is a Certified Public Accountant. Jim is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the Federation of American Health Systems. He currently serves on the board of the Tennessee Minority Suppliers Development Council and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Jim has over twenty-three years of healthcare related operations experience. During that time, his responsibilities included financial operations, financial auditing, accounts receivable management, health information management, and supply chain operations.
