Jim Hobson is President and CEO of Memorial Health Care System in Chattanooga, Tennessee, having joined Memorial’s staff in November, 2008. He has more than 20 years of health care leadership experience, having served the past twelve years at Phoebe Putney Health Systems in Albany, Georgia, most recently as their Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Memorial Health Care System is the Chattanooga area’s only faith-based health system, with two acute-care hospitals, home health services, a dedicated imaging center, several satellite facilities and physician offices in 30 locations. Memorial is nationally recognized for excellence in quality, having been named one of the Top 50 Hospitals in the nation by Leapfrog Group, one of Tennessee’s Best Employers by Business TN Magazine, and is a five-time recipient of Thompson’s 100 Top Hospitals designation.

Mr. Hobson is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He received his Master’s degree in economics from the University of Memphis and his Bachelor’s degree in government from Centre College in Danville, KY. He and his wife, Kim, have two sons.
