I began my health care career as Director of Neurosurgical Services at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington DC, serving as a senior executive at several hospitals in Maryland. I have served as President of the Maryland Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and have held several leadership positions with the Maryland Hospital Association. I am a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. As a registered nurse, I hold a BS in Healthcare Administration from St. Joseph’s College, a Master of Administration degree with a concentration in finance from the University of Maryland; an MBA, with a concentration in medical services from The Johns Hopkins University; and a Doctorate in Management with a concentration in organizational process management (systems) from the University of Maryland. I am President/CEO at Peninsula Regional Medical Center and Peninsula Regional Health System in Salisbury, Maryland, the 6th largest system in Maryland. Born and raised in Northern Virginia, I married my high school sweetheart. Dan and I are graduates of G.C. Marshall High School in Falls Church, Va. We are the parents of two daughters, Adrienne and Renee. Both daughters are graduates of Towson U. and Georgetown. Adrienne is a realtor in Salisbury, the proud mom to our first granddaughter Addison. She is married to Larry Perdue. Renee lives in SF, a graduate student at Berkley, majoring in eco-sustainability interior design. She is a fabulous artist and creates unique jewelry pieces for sale on the web. For leisure, I enjoy golf, reading, boating, bicycling and am never one to pass on a good wine- fine dining opportunity.
