David Schreiner is the President and CEO-elect of Katherine Shaw Bethea (KSB) Hospital in Dixon, Illinois. David will formally become President upon the retirement of the current CEO on April 1, 2011.
David has been with KSB Hospital since 1989. He has served in the roles of Director of Medical Imaging, Vice President of Corporate & Community Services and Chief Operating Officer prior to his appoint to the President/CEO position.
KSB Hospital is an 80-bed acute care facility offering a variety of ancillary services, providing numerous programs that reflect its desire to promote the overall health and wellness of its patients. Physician services are available at eight convenient locations. KSB Hospital employs over 65 physicians and has a Family Medicine Residency Program with the University of Illinois.
Mr. Schreiner is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He serves as Regent for the Central Illinois section of ACHE. He received his Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from the University of St. Francis and his Bachelor’s degree in Health Education from Eastern Illinois University. He is active in leadership positions with the Illinois Hospital Association and teaches in the Health Services Administration Graduate Program for the University of St. Francis.
David was named the 2007 Dixon Citizen of the Year. David has finished ten marathons including the Boston Marathon and became an Ironman in 2005 by competing in Ironman Wisconsin, a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run. He and his wife, Stephanie, have two children.
