Thomas A. Selden, FACHE, is the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Southwest General Health Center.  He began his tenure in October, 2007.  He has a wealth of local health care experience, most recently having served as President and CEO of the Cleveland Clinic Health System’s East Region which encompasses Euclid, Hillcrest, Huron, and South Pointe Hospitals.   Prior to that he served for 12 years as President and CEO of Parma Community General Hospital.  He has also held positions at St. Alexis Hospital in Cleveland, Akron City Hospital and The Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Akron.  His background combines expertise in business and technology as well as health care administration.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, a Masters of Business Administration degree and is a graduate of the Wharton CEO Program for Health Care Leadership at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
