Mike Williams is President and CEO of Community Health Corporation. This organization was chartered in 1997 for the purpose of preserving the community-based not-for-profit hospital model. Since its inception, CHC has leased five short-term acute care hospitals, acquired three hospitals, and provided management counsel and consulting services to more than 80 healthcare organizations throughout the country. CHC ContinueCARE operates two hospital within hospital LTACH models and has three freestanding facilities under development

Mike is a graduate of the University of Alabama and holds a Masters degree in Health Administration from the Medical Center in Birmingham where he was named outstanding alumnus in 2003. He served his administrative residency under Boone Powell, Sr. at Baylor in Dallas reaching the position of Vice President before his departure. He has also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Children's Medical Center in Dallas and President of Baptist Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. He and his wife Susan, a pediatric R.N., have two children. Mike is active in both professional and community activities, having served as Regent for the American College of Healthcare Executives, and on the regional and local boards of Young Life.
